Dr. Efrain Anaya was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He graduated from the University of Houston in 2018, where he received his B.S. in Physics and B.A. in English. He attended dental school at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, graduating among the top 5% of his class and becoming the first dentist in his family.
During his time in dental school, Dr. Anaya worked as a dental assistant in an underserved area. He was motivated to pursue a career in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery due to a shortage of personnel capable of handling emergent and acute cases. Moreover, these challenging and intricate cases held a deep fascination for him, making the pursuit of oral and maxillofacial surgery not only a service to the community but also a personal passion.
Before enrolling in residency, he completed a one-year internship at Baylor/Texas A&M Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Dallas Texas in June 2023.
In his free time, Dr. Anaya enjoys running around with his dog Logan, working out, savoring great food, and spending quality time with his friends and family.
