School of Dentistry

Dental Early Acceptance (3+4) Program Admissions Requirements

A student interested in the field of dentistry is eligible to apply when they have completed between 12 and 30 semester credit hours at a college or university affiliated with the 黑料网 School of Dentistry's Dental Early Acceptance 3+4 Program (DEAP). See list of affiliated universities below.

Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents and Texas residents. Individuals who have been convicted of a felony will not be granted acceptance except in unusual circumstances.

Applicants will be considered on the basis of:
鈥    Academic achievement
鈥    Standardized test scores
鈥    Community and campus activities
鈥    Socioeconomic history

The DEAP Admissions Committee will focus primarily on students who would have difficulty financing a fourth year of college at the undergraduate level, as well as four years of professional post-baccalaureate education. Those who successfully complete the program can reduce their education costs by eliminating one year of undergraduate college tuition and living expenses.

The DEAP Admissions Committee interviews qualified applicants to ensure that their motivation for dental studies, character and personality traits indicate potential for success in dentistry. The top interviewed applicants are invited to participate in the UT Health School of Dentistry Dental Early Acceptance (3+4) Program (DEAP).

The deadline to submit an application for DEAP is March 8. Interviews will be conducted in April and May.
