Master of Public Health Program

Step 1: Meeting Admissions Requirements

It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure they have met all admissions requirements before the application deadline.

Step 2: Submitting Application and Credentials

Submit the following materials for consideration into the Master of Public Health program:

  • AHCAS Application
  • Application Fee ($72)
  • Unofficial transcript(s)
  • Resume or CV
  • Personal statement
  • Two professional references. One should be an academic reference unless it has been more than five years since the applicant has attended university.
  • Foreign Coursework & TOEFL (if applicable)

Upon the deadline for application submissions, the School of Public Health review committee will begin processing and reviewing applications.

Regarding International Students:

F-1 visa (for Academic Students) and the M-1 visa (for Vocational Students) applicants intended to study in the U.S. need a Form I-20, “Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status.” We are currently not authorized to issue Form I-20s to international applicants for the fall 2025 MPH admission cycle. Please check back for updates.

Step 3: Interview

After the application deadline, selected applicants will be invited to complete an online interview. Interview invitations as well as all final admissions decisions will be sent via email from the Office of Admissions.

Application fee

The School of Public Health application fee is $70 (non-refundable). 

 

Transcripts

Unofficial transcripts must be uploaded to the AHCAS platform from every U.S. college or university you have attended. However, official transcripts will be required upon acceptance.

 

Current Resume or Curriculum Vita (CV)

A current resume or curriculum vita must be uploaded to the AHCAS platform prior to the deadline.

 

Personal Statement

Applicants must provide a personal statement regarding their approach to working in and with the community, understanding of the social determinants of health, and health equity. The personal statement may be used to highlight areas of particular strengths or challenges experienced by the applicant.

 

Professional References

Each applicant must submit two (2) letters of recommendation, with at least one (1) from a professor or academic source familiar with the applicant's academic preparedness and potential for success in graduate education.

 

Foreign Coursework & Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)

Transcripts from institutions outside the United States must be submitted in the original language along with an evaluation by a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES)-approved organization. International applicants whose native language is not English must present evidence of proficiency in English by satisfactorily completing the Test of English as a Foreign Language examination (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 84; English Language Test for Study (IELTS) score of 7.0; or a Duolingo score of 115. Scores on TOEFL, IELTS, and Duolingo tests that were taken more than two years before the date of application are not acceptable. A waiver of this requirement may be requested if the individual has graduated from a high school or a higher education degree program (associate degree or higher) in the United States or another country where English is the official language.
