Articulation Agreements

St. Mary' s University

Students enrolled as first-time freshmen at St. Mary’s University (StMU) and who meet certain admission requirements will be offered the opportunity to participate in a collaborative program, which allows early acceptance to of Texas Health Science Center School of Nursing to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

To be eligible for the program, StMU students will need to have earned a minimum 3.70 math and science GPA and a minimum 3.70 cumulative GPA. Please note, all collegiate coursework must have been completed at St. Mary’s University and applicants must have received a “B” or higher in all required math and science coursework. StMU students have a second option to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at of Texas Health Science Center. Students enrolled as first-time freshmen at StMU and who meet certain admission requirements will be offered the opportunity to participate in a collaborative program, which facilitates early acceptance in the School of Nursing to receive both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Combined Sciences from St. Mary’s University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from of Texas Health Science Center.

To be eligible for the program, StMU students will need to have completed at least 26 semester credit hours of specified courses, including at least 20 hours in science and math at St. Mary’s University. Additionally, students will need to have earned a minimum 3.70 math/science GPA and a minimum 3.70 cumulative GPA. Please note, all collegiate coursework must be completed at StMU and applicants must have received a “B” or higher in all required math and science coursework. Texas A&M University - College Station

Students earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health from the Department of Health & Kinesiology or a degree from the Department of Public Health Studies (PHS) at Texas A&M University (TAMU) and who meet certain admission requirements will be offered the opportunity to receive acceptance to of Texas Health Science Center School of Nursing to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

To be eligible for the program, TAMU students will need to have a earned a minimum 3.50 math and science GPA and a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA. Applicants may complete Anatomy & Physiology I with Lab and Anatomy & Physiology II with Lab at an accredited community college within the TAMU HSC degree plan. Please note, all other collegiate coursework must have been completed at Texas A&M University (courses completed in high school via dual credit, Advanced Placement, or International Baccalaureate are acceptable for transfer). Texas Lutheran University

Students earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Texas Lutheran University (TLU) and who meet certain admission requirements will be offered a guaranteed admission interview for the BSN to Ph.D. program at of Texas Health Science Center School of Nursing.

To be eligible for the guaranteed interview, TLU students will need to have earned a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA. For more information about this program, please contact the School of Nursing Office of Admissions.

of Texas at San Antonio

Students enrolled as a first-time freshman at of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and who meet certain admission requirements will be offered the opportunity to participate in a collaborative program, which allows early acceptance to of Texas Health Science Center School of Nursing to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

To ensure program eligibility, UTSA students will need to work with University Health Professions advisors at UTSA. Students will need to have earned a minimum 3.60 math and science GPA and a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA. Texas A&M University - San Antonio

Students enrolled at Texas A&M University - San Antonio and who meet certain admission requirements will be considered for admission in a collaborative program with School of Nursing to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

To be considered for admission, A&M-SA students will need to work closely with academic advisors at A&M-SA. Students will need to have completed all proper pre-requisite courses at A&M-SA. Students will also need to have earned a minimum 3.60 math/science GPA, a minimum 3.60 cumulative GPA, and grades of "B" or better in all math and science courses.  Additionally, students will need to receive a minimum 80 on the TEAS and a minimum 69 on the reading portion of the TEAS.  For more information about this program, please contact the Undergraduate Advising Center at Texas A&M University-San Antonio.
