The Department of Medical Education provides educational faculty development opportunities for individuals, divisions, departments, institutions and regional collaboratives. We specialize in clinical supervision and educational best practices in the clinical setting.
We tailor our sessions and content to best meet your needs. For example, we offer Grand Round presentations on core educational topics.
For more in depth faculty development opportunities, we work with individual departments who are looking for a comprehensive faculty development program tailored to their individual needs. We have developed a four session basic "pack" that includes:
- How to give feedback
- How to teach in a busy clinical setting
- Approaches to the challenging learner
- Tailored to the specific needs of the Department/Program
We also work with departments longitudinally and can present short sessions during faculty meetings. In this format, we work collaboratively with educators within the department to help them develop their educational scholarship strength while simultaneously developing programming for the department.
